Supplements
People in Dubai travel more frequently than most and the result is inconsistency with eating, training and probably most affected is sleeping. Without consistency with these it makes achieving results much more challenging. I have put together a supplement protocol to assist with improving the quality of all three.
- Magnesium has a calming effect on the central nervous system – reducing the effects of jetlag and improving quality of sleep. It will also lower the levels of the stress hormone cortisol (usually caused by jetlag), which causes belly fat gain when elevated constantly.
- Vitamin D3 improves immune system function. Exposure to changes in climate, germs and bacteria all require strong immune function to prevent disease. Vitamin D limits inflammation that can hinder healing & health.
- L-Carnitine is a potent fat burner because it is responsible for transporting fat into the cells for energy. More carnitine in the muscles – more efficient fat burning process. For carnitine to be most effective you need to eat adequate levels of Omega 3. Another important function of L-Carnitine (especially for men) is its up regulation of the androgen receptor sites. Androgen receptors mediate the influence of free testosterone on protein synthesis, so more androgen receptors allows for enhanced utilization of training-induced free testosterone.
- Omega 3 Fish Oil will improve the health of every cell in your body. Omega 3 also raises your metabolic rate by increasing cell activity and fat burning.
For frequent flyers consistency is near impossible – this supplement protocol is designed to improve sleep, increase metabolism and improve fat loss. The greatest motivation for consistent training is achieving results, stick to this for a month and you’ll see a vast improvement.
